Sagitta XC Pushrod
Building a Sagitta XC. I have one of Bob Sealy’s glass fuses. I am looking for suggestions for the pushrods. I would rather not use the Sullivan cable. I picked up some .070” carbon fiber rod and a carbon fiber sleeve from CST but that doesn’t seem very robust. What CST said I had to do was to secure both ends of the sleeve with no support needed in the middle and that would be all that is needed. Seems like that would flex to much. Is that the way the pushrods are done these days or am I missing something here? Appreciate the input

Make some disks out of foam (white bead foam works well for this task), about 1/2-3/4" wide. File a slight notch in each where you want the sleeved rods to run, then use a long piece of balsa stick with a couple of pins in the end to place them. They should be a snug fit, but not so tight to cause the sleeves to compress. They should be spaced so you have no free run of more than ~12". The XC is a big plane and you want the controls to be as tight as possible.
