I think makers are missing the boat on warbirds in the 70”-80” range, basically the 30cc size birds. There are just a few in that size and it would be cool for us to have more choices. There are many more both under and over that range....either .46-.60 size or 50cc size. Anyway, would like a nice Focke-Wulf for 30cc without having to shop overseas, outside the USA.

I have to say I like this model but not crazy about the “over drawn” details ,lines ect .
I have seen Kat do a great job on re-painting the VQ releases and if I were to purchase this model a re-paint would be on my list.
VQ did a great job toning down details on their newer release vs generation one.
There is another thread on a much larger Fw190 release ( same section ) fuel warbirds and you can see a much softer approach to the details.
Don’t get me wrong panel lines are great but when they start add surface details, rip details in the elevator ect it simply looks cartoonish to me .
Not out to offend anyone just making a point about the marketing departments from these companies .
Mike is another RCG member that does a great job repainting the models , he like Kat bashed the VQ Fw190 , Kat bashed the Dora , both huge improvements over stock , in fact Mikes model is used on the VQ site ( misleading to some extent ) because VQ leads you to believe that is the FW190 you will receive lol , in fact its Mikes model in most of the pics .

Amen! 30cc (69-72 inch wing) is as large as my field can handle. The gas engine selection for the .46-.55 birds isn't great, to say the least (although my Phoenix .46 P51 with O.S. 15cc is a fun little rocket). I hope they produce more true 30cc birds soon. IMO, 80-inches is too big for a 30cc engine - but "scale speed" is a dirty word to me.

They do look pretty much identical. But looks like the Kyosho has a 55” WS. That’s too bad. Considering the Phoenix plane is not available, I’d be tempted to buy the Kyosho but it’s just too small.

The kyosho hasn't been manufactured for years.
