2019 UK Auto Gyro Meetings

Hi,

Thought I'd get us off to a start with a meeting in Peterborough at our new field. The field is approx 5 miles NE of pboro, I'll post directions nearer the time.

I can offer 3 dates, and will go with the one that the majority can attend, so please let me know your preference ?

Sat May 4th
Sat May 25th
Sun May26th

We could fly all day, but on a Sunday, its electric only after 1pm.

Obviously ALL autogyro pilots are welcome.

cheers
Ian Smith

OK,

I have had a few responses on facebook, so I am going to go with Saturday 4th May.

All rc autogyro enthusiasts are invited to a flyin at my home club parcs (Peterborough).
Flying from 10am until dusk.
I would like a rough idea on numbers, so if you are coming, please let me know.
I'll post directions closer to the time

cheers

Sat May 4th Autogyro meeting, Peterborough.
All welcome, just let me know in advance for numbers.

Directions for Peterborough (parcs) new field.
The nearest postcode is PE6 9AG
From the village of Peakirk, take the road to Deeping Gate Called Peakirk road.
This goes over a bridge which is over a river/stream,
Then past the 1st turning on left (Church Street).
Continue on another 800 yds or so and the field will be on the right, with a dirt track down the side.
Park on the dirt track.
We can fly from 10am until dusk.
I will try to be there for 09:30.
There are no facilities except a few bushes. So bring any required food and drink.

Ian and fellow Gyro nuts, I have returned from Qatar a bit earlier than planned, however I have to attend a few courses in Aberdeen over next week and hopefully I should be finished prior to Peterborough so all going well Iím hoping to making it down.

Tomorrows Gyronut meeting in Peterborough is ON.

We have around 8 people coming, and 3 or 4 members who are keen to see it all.

The weather forecast is bright morning, light showers in the afternoon, cold and breezy.
Not as good as we would like, but at least the breeze will get the blades rotating.

I will have 3 differently sized sets of printed blades. One well proven, one that has flown bu the model isn't sorted yet and one new 2 blade set.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow

Cheers

Just rechecked the forecast for tomorrow, and it has gotten worse.
Showers in the morning, and minimum wind speed of 20 mph.....

So it is with regret, that I am going to cancel the event, and try and arrange another one later in the year.

watch this space.....

Ian
