After the rousing success of our season opener last weekend its time to invite all to the Seattle Area Soaring Society’s 2-day, AMA sanctioned, F3K contest “The Cascadia”. Come test your skills at the “birthplace of DLG”, if you don’t’ believe me read all about it here - https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ht=dlg+history. DLG flying in Seattle is a lot like golf at St Andrews, tennis at Wimbledon, baseball at Fenway, yea it has to be on your bucket list ��.

This must make event will be on Sept 7-8, 2019 at our club field in Carnation, WA., about 45 minutes east of Seattle. Planning is for 14 rounds of F3K contest flying over two days with a 4-round fly-off on the afternoon of day two.

The SASS board has approved that the contest fees will be $10 per day for The Cascadia. Lunch is an additional $5 per day "donation".

Serious "bang for your bucks" I'd say!

From seasoned veterans (us old guys) to rookie first timers are all welcome. Guys, gals, young, old, if you can huck a glider you should be here. We play by the rules (mostly) in a casual manner with the primary goal that everyone has fun.

On field camping is allowed/encouraged Friday and Saturday nights. The field will be available on Friday for practice as well.

Shirt design is in the works and they will be for sale, more to come from uber designer Barry D.
