Latest SoXos Heli is Coming

Heli-Professional announced their new 700 size beast of a heli at Rotor Live 2018. This thing will be amazing with a belt driven tail, stronger drive system and a relocated oneway bearing, all designed to take extreme power from the motor for wicked crazy 3D flight.

They did incorporate design features from previous models like the rotary tail control level and single-piece lightweight frame. The new canopy and landing gear give it a fierce aggressive look indicative of its flight characteristics. No word yet on pricing or availability, but it should be posted soon.

I like it. nice, clean design.
the frame looks a little fragile but I think most people buying this won't be testing crash worthiness every time out.

There was a price stated at the recent rotor live in Germany, The saxos stall had the price displayed prominantly on their stand. I cant recall exactly what it was but it was in the order of 650 Euro ($740)... Which if there are no 'catches' is incredibly cheap and undercuts not only Saxos' previous 700 but their 600 too!

I like the skids!
Considering align 7pp is 960 on HD with motor, this is competitive, because motors are like 50 bucks!

I love the swash driver yoke, all helicopters should use that design it's much less sloppy than the typical pair of swash driver arms thanks to the wisely spaced bearings.

Love the idlers above the tail pulley. Perhaps it's common and I never noticed.
I've never had a belt jump the pulley, but I fly smaller stuff.

The swash driver is interesting as well, as I've noticed it in full scale designs.
(And I used something similar in some of my FP projects with excellent results, stolen from a ESky Honey Bee CT)

Anyway, sharp looking bird.

My cortex 450 b.a. has idle pulleys on tail and the late rjx600 had them as well.

Introductory price of approx $550.. that's got to be a major bargain. Literally half the price of the new Goblin Kraken (ok, Kraken comes with blades but still...)

All the more of a bargain when you make that comparison, especially one you add the inevitable 'upgrades' that almost everyone adds to a Assault 700. I'd always considered the SoXos a high priced 'boutique' brand, but the pricing of the Strike 7 blows that idea out of the water.

Just put in a pre order. I couldn't pass it up.
Of well. No Kraken for me this year.

Should go well with my Diabolo 600 and Henseleit TDF

It's good to see the prices coming down.

My LHS option would be the Fusion 480 at $499 for basically an airframe.
(Although, being able to fly a few hours after a crash is sometimes priceless.)

What's more priceless is 700 blade sounds during hovers, flips, and autos, and......well you get the idea
