for 6S-
possible to use the 600 gear on the 550 frame?
a quick check shows the 600 gear has 106T vs 153 for 550. but the module is also different so I'm not sure if the 600 ratios would help get more rpm..
what are the 550 and 600 pinion sizes?

Smoggie- you should put the UK distributor info in your header if possible.

Yes, the 600 gears will work perfectly on the 550, but they need a motor with a 6mm shaft.

Good call on the header, i'll get that sorted

Going by the build quality of my 600 I would definitely be in the market for a 700

Hopefully you can bring your 600 to helifest in June? I'll be there on a shared stand with Tarot from China and the UK distributor ScotiaRC. Anyone who brings and flies a Tarot heli gets a free beer (or a coffee for the non- drinkers!)

I use EC5 connectors currently but used the AMASS connectors and made an extension to go out the front and down the side. Quite like it to!
I'm using 6S and Opti 6S 5000 packs.

I am going green...

No, I didn't go out and purchase a more fuel efficient car, but I did pick up some of the special green parts for my Tarot 600 helicopter. these match the Lime Green KBDD 96mm EE Tail Blades as well! I have been installing these a few at a time.

Stephen,

Do you have a link to your Tarot Distribution business in the U.K.?

Someone is asking for a European Distributor on FB.

Thank you.

Thanks.

I've still not made the payment section of the site live, but anyone wanting to buy can contact me and I'll sort out the order.

Budget ESC option, $108 for a 150A HV ESC.

Helidirect sells the JP Hobbies version (ZTW is the OEM) for $196 but they are the exact same ESC and the only difference is branding.

https://www.helidirect.com/products/...is-150a-hv-esc

Note that ZTW's governor is kind of useless (it's fixed RPM and you adjust the headpeeed by changing the pinion) so you'd have to use a brushless RPM sensor and the FBL governor. I'd recommend the Eagle Tree v2 sensor. Red is ground and black is positive on the Eagle Tree sensor so you need to swap those two wire in the connector. What I do is put 2mm bullet connectors on the sensor and then solder short 18awg pigtails either to the outside of the female bullets on the ESC or solder them into the cups on the male bullets on the motor depending on what's more convenient at the time (if I am putting new connectors on the motor). I do not like soldering them into the cups on the female bullets because the 10 AWG wire on the ESC side leaves little room while the solid strand wire on the motor side leaves plenty of room in the solder cup for the extra wire and is also less prone to excessive wicking.
