Considering the lack of airliners, this could be popular. Its based on the same differential thrust as many of the other rtf micros, but with elevator control this should be fun. Its on pre-order at banggood.com.

It might be helpful if you change the thread header to A-380 not A-320

If it flies as well as the previous c-130 then it should sell very well.

A nice surprise, the A-380 arrived a day early. It’s really easy to assemble, plug in the elevator servo and literally one screw to hold the wing to the fuse. The landing gear pop right into place if you want to use them, just charge the battery and go. Maiden flight in the morning.

Took a maiden flight this morning, it flew. Out of the box, elevator control is what I could best describe as touchy but it works. The first landing was easy and no bounce from the landing gear. It’s a win when you consider its portable ( disassembles and stores in the box), has elevator control and the landing gear actually work. I can see that converting this to full control would make this a home run.

I have a couple of questions.
In the first video the pilot looked to be stalling the plane and then going into a snapping spin.
So does it stall forward or does it snap.?

They advertise that it has a gyro .. is it built into the receiver??

Video1 shows tailerons. I am sure that is not stock.

The thing uses differential thrust. I assume the speed controllers are also built on the the receiver board ?

Yaw is handled with differential thrust, however..... it’s not on the rudder channel, it’s on the aileron channel. Too much elevator at slow speed and it will drop a wing. I managed to do that by slowing down and feeding in up elevator. Keeping the throttle up prevents the stall. I haven’t explored what it will or won’t do, I was really limited to a couple minutes on the first flight. In short, don’t try to really feather back the throttle unless you’re on final approach.

The receiver board has built in speed control and two extra unused sockets, I’m assuming for plug in lighting like the C-17, Diamond, and the Reaper drone.
