Help obtaining lighter gear UK

I bought a Twisted Hobby Edge 540 600mm span along with all the dealers recommended gear:-
AT 2202motor 15g
6A controller 6g
Gening D531 x2 4g each
Gening D541 5g
Lemon rx 4.6g
battery 16g
The recommended flying weight is 80g but it came out at 100g.
It would be nice to shed a few grams.
Haven't weighed each component individually to check against suggested weights.
Any suggestions on suppliers of lighter gear and recommendations for lighter gear would be very welcome.
Many thanks.

Hi Ian

Try MT Foamies - they do a 120mah 2s Lipo that weighs 8g from memory

I'd suggest a Dualsky Motor (cant remember p/n but 11g), PT Carbon Prop (from Electric Wingman)

I use FRsky RX's (ebay) and Hobbyking 1.6g servos

Magnet wire servo leads shed a few G's. You can also try stripping the flat carbon parts down from 3mm wide to say 1.5mm fairly easily.

Cheers,

Richard

Which Edge is that? 80 Grams flying weight is very light. Their Ultra Lite Edge is 150grams. And the mini is 90grams. My Clik flies at 120 grams as is remarkable.

Edge is 600mm, your Clik is 838mm and surely a lighter wing loading at 120gr.
