I too have a couple of these Floggers. One is RS (purchased at auction when the company was selling off everything back in 1990?) and a Goldberg.

The question of CG is a good one. How far back is too far and where was the CG located in the video flight? Sure flew slow when asked. Thanks!

Cool to see some of these still flying. We experimented with some very simple split flaps with these. They were made from 1/16" plywood with small fences attached at the ends, 1/2" tall to add some torsional stiffness. They were actuated by a single servo and torque rods, and were just taped to the bottom of the wing (acted as a hinge) and were about 3 inch chord and 12 inch span. Worked amazingly well particularly with the fences on the ends. There is no need to remove the aileron in that wing section since the TE of the flap is ahead of the Aileron hinge. In flight you can't see them when in the up position.

We would fly from some pretty crazy locations every so often.
