Introduction F5J ALES Competing

Anyone here use a Hyperflight.co.uk Introduction F5J to compete in ALES in the United States?

I'm based in the US, about to start building an Introduction F5J, plan on to use it to compete in ALES. What motor, prop size, spinner, and battery is proven to be a contender in ALES. I don't mind spending a little extra money for a good setup. I do have a few 4s 1000 mah and 1300 mah 75c batteries, I could use, just in case. I'm using eclac.ch for number crunches, just a little information overload.

If anyone can place me in the right directions, just tell me the setup to buy. Lol.

I appreciate everyone help and assistance.

Thank You

You might go to my website where post what I use in the YJ3M. It works great, you have to deal with wires off the front of the motor buts it's really not a big deal. I don't know what your balance looks like but if you can handle some extra nose weight the DualSky 1100 KV from Aloft is nice as the wire come off further back. I think an 11x6 prop would do an awesome job on your plane with 3S. I see a lot of people put heavy batteries in but the Tattu 3S 850 45C also from Aloft are really nice batteries. I have flown in a F5J contest and another pilot had an Introduction. Go for it, it will do a nice job.

Hacker A20-22L with 11x7 and 3s-1300 is enough. You only need a couple hundred watts. In the Intro thread some guys list the equivalent Sunnysky and hobby king motors. KV is 1100-1300 for 3s. I thin 4s are too fat to fit.

I'm using an AXI 2212/34 in my build. Very similar specs to the Hacker 20-22l, but it will swing a 12X5 folder on 3 cells. I'm using MKS DS 6100 servos.

Can't wait for it to get here, any day now!
