Modifying rotating retracts to non rotating for Zlin 526 possible?

I will be restarting a build of a 20% Zlin 526. The wheels retract strait back with out rotating. I need the retracts to have a 95 or 100 degree sweep. A normal retract turned 90 degrees will work fine but the retract angle complicates thing a bit as I can't find anything as it seems everything is 90 degrees only. This should be about a 10 or 12 pound airplane when finished.

Rotating retracts seem to be readily available in the 95 degree range. Can the rotating feature be disabled? That would open up a wide range of retracts to use.

Thanks in advance!

Ken

Nose gear come in more angles, just use two of those and lock the steering?

Agreed. The Robarts have a trunion similar to a strut-ready retract with the steering bearing clamped inside. Looking at the drawing, it seems you can remove the bearing and use standard struts.

Probably best to give them a ring and get their thoughts.
