Almost A400M

Hey everyone!
Thats my first post here, so excuse me if I have mistakes
I started making this model a month ago, but its not same like the original one...
I made it with little more bigger wings and i removed this "stick"(i dont know what is it ) on the cabin.
Wingspan- 2,55m
Lenght- 2,35m
Weight- For now 3,5kg
I made the body from depron and fibran.
"Fuselage" is made from epoxy and fiberglass cloth
I have little more progres from today but i dont have photos.

Very impressive.
Is the 3.5 kg figure for what is built so far?
Any idea what the final weight might be?

I trust the wings will be secured to the fuselage by more than that single aluminium(?) rod.

Actually that was my progress. I reinforced this aluminium rod and now its stable.
Next week I have to place servos, close upper side of the wings and make them with epoxy.
Now im looking for way to make front landing gear retrackable and rotating.
I dont have any idea what brushless motor i have to order. Can you help me?
I expect weight to be no more than 8-9kg.

Oh, that is big!

Power: I would go for a similar power loading as the full scale. The A-400 has a TOW 130 tons, and total power 33 MW which gives about 250 W/kg. That seems to me to be unnecesarily high for a model of this kind but it does not need to fly at full power setting. With 4 motors and 10 kg each motor will have to pull about 2.5 kg so it should consume 630 W. This corresponds to about 42 A from 4cell Lipol. A decent outrunner develops about 3-4 W/gram, so 150-200 grams motors should do. I would look for a 3542 or 3548 motor with quite small kv of about 900 (for 4S). Please note that the turboprop airliners usually have much lower power loading so the model can be safely flown at about 150 W/kg. Depends on your flying habits, though.

One unsolicited advice concerning the wing-fuselage junction: Please what is the diameter of the Al rod (or tube)? I would suggest at least 25 mm for a tube, for the proposed weight and size .

Im not sure about the right diameter of tube. Tommorow I will be at home and I will check.

Unfortunately nothing to do with ATR.
That would be too good for taxpayers' pockets!
