Got the canopy and rudder repainted. The aluminum spray paint that I used matches really well. I was also happy to see that the panel lines on the rudder show through enough that I can retrace them with a black felt pen.

That does it it for painting/color changes. Like I mentioned before, I wont be able to get this ready for flight tomorrow but I will be able to get it assembled for at least a dry fit

Here is the dry fit of all the pieces I have a several things to finish up before maiden flight. Hope to finish it up soon

Glued in the horizontal stabilizer and the tail controls this last weekend. I was going to retrace the panel lines on the repainted rudder but my eyes weren't up to the task. I asked my wife to do it and she did a pretty good job

I haven't had much free time to work on the P-47 lately. I installed the servos, control rods, and connectors for the tail surfaces and the tail wheel. No issues there.

One thing that that I realized recently is that the invasion stripes on this plane don't wrap completely around the rear of the fuselage like the plane I am trying to replicate. For now I am going to leave it as is so that I can get it ready to fly sooner. Maybe this coming winter build season I can complete the stripes.
