Almost sucked down into the poison oak bushes. Sure happens fast.

Nice landing, avoid the cow pies!

Today was my chance to fly. Darn rain.

Ya missed you Mike, that was from late afternoon yesterday. New camera gets some decent footage, but the headcam mount thingy makes me feel like an even bigger dork

Dominic, you would like it a lot and tear up the place. Let us know when you and buddies are coming up
Flying wise I was trying to rein it in but could not handle faster laps and would end up all over the place

Scott, I did not know those were PO bushes. Yikes, glad i was spared.
That LZ is near saddle between north and south hills. Rock-free patch seems to be the cows favorite spot to deposit special gifts

Correction Scott, Poison oak trees! Just about all the bushes/trees are Poison Oak over there! Lol

Too bad the cows don't eat that too.....

Thanks Mike. It would have been even more fun if more wind showed up that day

Now yesterday turned out to be way better for backside laps and best part was those Swifts were zipping around with my new D60:
D60 with DS'ing Swifts (1 min 38 sec)

Fun fact...these amazing birds can live on their wing for 10-months while not nesting
Swifts set record by flying 10 months non-stop (0 min 57 sec)

Thanks for the help and good vibes Dominic. That was a pleasant day for some tuning. Apparently Swifts do not mind a D60 doing circuits through their insect buffet feeding zone.

[Btw for better Swift detail that video was shot and uploaded in 4K however there is a known issue with Safari browser being limited to 1080p on Youtube. Whereas Chrome browser support 2160p on Youtube, so to view 4K 'tube videos on my Mac I use it. FireFox supports 4K viewing as well however its video image quality doesn't look as good as Chrome for whatever reason, at least for me.]

Went there again a couple days ago while it was blowing to low 30s. Turned out to be perfect for some fun laps at south end of south hill. Setup is getting closer yet still needs work. As does my piloting to track the fast lane. Be sure to ping me when you and friends are up in our neck of the woods
