Wind Wind Wind Wind Wind Wind Wind Wind!!!!!!!!

Has the wind been blowing continously for the last 2 weeks everywhere or is this just a mid-west occurance? Last night we pegged out at 70mph!!!!

I'm SICK OF IT!!!

Windy!

I can tell you that's it's blowing like a SOB here in NW Ohio. A front came through around 4 pm and brought some big time winds with it! It's probably a steady 35-40 mph right now. Temp dropped about 30 degrees in an hour.

Of course, I've just finished my scratch built project! At least it's safe for another day.

kansas cloud,

I hear you, the winds last night were incredible...I've been wanting to test fly my Mig for about 3 weeks now, and it seems like anytime I've had a chance the darn wind never lets up. Anyway, I feel your pain.

ROFLMAO!! Loved it BC!

WIND?!! Lost my Pico Jet to a dreaded "downwind turn" today in 25+ mph wind.

Might be able to scratch a new forward fuse outa' pink foam, we'll see.

Galloping Ghost, know where I was when the front hit? I was on the ramp at Toledo Express airport, chasing a Citation X that was trying to roll away! 57 knot sustained winds, horizontal rain, and a 15 million dollar plane rolling towards a ditch. I love my job!
Where are you in NW Ohio? I'm in Sylvania. Not very active these days, with RC that is, but always nice to know another local eflyer.

Hey the wind died down here for a very little while.
I got home from work and noticed old stars and stripes lying flat on the flagpole in my front yard.
I race in, grab the charger and throw a quick charge to a pack.
Sure nuff as soon as I step outside I get a 20 MPH wind in my face. I guess it's another night of building on the workbench.
I also have the web weather program.
Doesn't look to favorable to fly for anytime soon.
Sweeet looking scratchbuilt Galloping Ghost.
Give me some specs. on it. I like!!!!

I've learned something. it's never too windy to fly, or not windy enough, if you have a selection of rc planes. I was going to go slope soaring today, but it is ABSOLUTELY CALM even at the slope sites. 3mph wind. geez.

unfortunately, I'm waiting for new motor for my cannonshot slowflier biplane, so I don't have a low-wind plane...

I know not everyone cares for sloping, but it gives you something to fly when it's "too windy" out!
