Jumper T12 binding problem

I'm new here. Hope this is an appropriate forum. I just received a Jumper T12 yester day with a Flysky FS-iA6B 6 channel I-bus ppm receiver. I've spent several hours trying to bind with no luck. I'm using fresh AA batteries and getting 5.5 volts. In the menu, I've selected Mult Flysky and I've run through all the subtype list. When I select bind the receiver continues to flash at the same rate without binding. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Do you have the bind plug connected to the receiver correctly ?

What are you using to power up the receiver ? And are you getting a rapidly flashing light on the receiver ?

4 AA batteries ( 6v ) ? That should give you the proper voltage for the receiver . The upper voltage limit for your receiver is 6.5v , so a 7.4v lipo will be too high .

Be aware that your receiver is a telemetry capable receiver , and the transmitter settings should be for 2A .

Don't see where to enter 2A in the settings.

Bingo! Just used FS2A instead of Flysky as the protocol and it bound. Thanks a million.

Good deal on finding the right protocol setup. I'd suggest only using new alkalines until you get your 2S battery. And you may need to adjust warning level based on which power is used. Telemetry protocols like the 2A uses seem to need more power than some of the others, as some have reported problems as the voltage drops.

Your issue was the module, not the controller .... thread below for that.

There is also a website for the module firmware.

And a couple threads for the T12 itself (which uses different firmware ... with the first one being more recently active. The T12 (not module) firmware is not really OTX due to changes made for the screen and buttons from the QX7 OTX firmware on which it is based - this is a branch called JumperTX, as per the Jumper website)
