After you get caught up on current ideas, then you start adding wings, biplane pusher, slot, tractor etc.....triplane pusher, slot, tractor etc.

You are one funny person, there is no end in sight! I just finished a nine month
project building a wooden bicycle! The final finish is 40 coats of varnish, topped
with 20 coats of hard wax!

I have two more bike projects under way at this time, I need to repair the fence and clean
up storm debris in the yard, too cold to work outside at this time.

I have finished the pusher, getting ready to cut out the sloter.

34" span, 32 overall length. 11.7oz, Blue wonder, 1900kv, 7X3.5, 20a esc, two, 3s 500 batteries,
two 5g Powerup servos. 4c micro rec. Out put just over 110w. Reduced size of elevrons because
of smaller servos for the test planes, I use 9g on the heavier versions. They are around 20oz.
with over 300w output.

A comparison of the same platform with tractor, prop in slot and pusher setups would be both interesting and helpful using the same motor, ESC and battery. The noise, thrust, efficiency, required prop and aerobatic/flyability capabilities could be examined and recorded, to name a few stats.

BTW, this plane can easily be built with two sheet of DTF. The wings fit on one sheet with a big
strip between them

I used one and some leftovers for the first one. Don't think I have any big pieces for the fuselage.

I made the motor mount, firewall oversize for the possibility of testing different motor esc, battery

And wandering gently back to topic - neat design, I like it! Look forward to the flight reports.
Oh, and the bicycle is a ripper!

Need more cash to fund the project? I think you can force Mexico to pay for it!

An itch?. Scratch build.

Can't remember the thread it appeared in, but this was the recommended slot shape for reduced noise, (slightly).

I am looking for the slot to increase noise greatly!

Otto Dieffenbach did that investigation.

It was more about NOISE than efficiency.

His vid show a marked decrease in noise using a Bow Tie slot shap
similar to that eflght showed 2 posts back .

We do tend to use smaller higher rev props vs large Low pitch props
which are going to make a very penetrating noise.

I saw a very heavy flying wing pusher , CLAIMED to be good for 200 mph
at Daves beach in Carlsbad CA.
It was extremely fast, but it garnered the ire of everyone ACROSS the Pacific Hwy
to the point of noise complaints !

So I suppose "WE" should be a bit more conscientious about our over flights.

"We" fly where noise is not an issue at this time. Our nearest neighbors are, well, dead! Cemetery.

Several members fly huge gassers.
