RJ,

Yes, I am going to be at the JEM (stopping there on my drive back up to Seattle for tax season)

I see your name on F3XVault registration.

I'll be arriving on Thursday, you?

-Conrad

PS - RJ-5 was a blast. Such a great task for opening AND closing contests. Charlie Morris (like flying against Banks) got ALL of his 3:00 minute flights in each of RJ-5 rounds. And the air at the end of the day was definitely not 3:00 air, but Charlie did it everytime ... it was impressive!! I seem to remember Thomas doing that at one of the contests last year ... the Canuck in Jly2018?? Did we begin and end with the RJ-5 at that one?

PPS - The Arizona City contest was set up to run 12 rounds in a one day contest. With the late start 10:00 AM (due to unusually cold weather, for Arizona in January, but still short sleeves and no coats) the CD only ran 10 rounds. Sunset was at 5:30 pm. They dropped rounds 10 and 11, but still finished with the RJ-5. It was great!! The contest had 10 contestants and 2 flight groups. I do like the fact that Charles Martin (CD for the Arizona contests) generally runs 10-12 rounds each day of his contests. I 'really' like the contests with more rounds each day. The contest hits a rhythm and the extra flying is really a great experience in the same day.

Post from another thread on KST and MKS centering

Thomas,

Have you heard any of the discussion quoted below?
Or about the 'Spring-loaded horn set for KST X08' to add to stiffness and help with centering using the horn sets listed below?

My apologies if this 'spring loaded' horn set for KST's and centering discussion is old news ... the horn set was new news to me.

Thoughts?

I land at LAX noon on Friday, hope to be at the field 2:00 ish. The Reese's will be there a couple hours later.

That servo mounted spring is the sheeeiiiite! I've tried a few times to make something that did that but never got anything successful. Would love to see those on the Armsoar site

That's horn set is crazy. HAVE to see what that's about IRL.

Good hunting at The JEM, gentlemen!
