Importing jpeg,bmp,etc->tracing in Autocad 2005

Does anyone here that uses Autocad 2005 know how to import a picture file and then trace the images to create a CAD file. I have some formers that I want to put into Cad for scaling, outputting to a laser/cnc router and I can't for the life of me find a command in Autocad 2005 on how to import a picture file.

I did a web search on google,yahoo and MSn but I couldn't find any references to this command. I guess I'm not searchign for the right command
Any help would be greatful

Can't say for sure about 2005, but in both 2002 and 2004 you would use;
Insert->Raster; then browse for your image.
The insert button should be across the top.

PS: I scale the image once I have it in AutoCad, then trace on a separate layer

The Help in Acad is tricky but you can find what you need. As Jim says use the Insert/Raster for a jpeg or tiff. You can also insert other vector file formats that are listed below the "Raster".

Knowing what scale to enlarge it too is important. I've been given four sheets of parts with out a scale rectangle on any of the images. A real PITA to match them up.
