Slopers

@Haldor : Is that a Flair ASK-8 ?
I just finished mine, waiting for weather for maiden flight.
@Badger : Does Birdworks have a website ?

Cheers Brett.

Love your website BTW - lots of great info - especially enjoy the reviews section! Thanks for taking the time to share!!!

Re the CR planes - don't know much about them (the Blazer is yet to fly - a kitset that has been hidden away for sometime) however a mate has a built up Renegade - your thoughts echo his - it would be one of his best planes in his opinion for its versitility - light winds, strong winds the Renegade handles it all regardless of landing conditions etc - a kind of built up foamie.

He has also built a Zipper which after a recent fly in extreme conditions saw him very satisfied - read his review here (will ask him to update the flying side of things soon:

OK, most of them are not exactly slopers, but here they are :

Multiplex ASH26, not finished yet
ASK8 from Flair, finished, but not flown yet
Multiplex Alpina 4001, in use
Aeromod Aldij, sloper, in use
The fuse in the front is from my original Alpina, about 20 yrs old, which is having an electric drive installed and will be flown with the wings of the Alpina 4001.

Here's a pic of my Multiplex Kranich. I have yet to fly it on the slope. I plan to do that the end of this month at Los Banos.

Sloper Pics?

The pic below shows my current 'stable' of slopers.
Top left, clockwise :Phase 6, Avenger, Robbe Focus derivative, hybrid(see below), Zugini, Mugi.
The 'hybrid' - now named Phasure - is the result of repairing a Phase 6 fuz and grafting on a Flair 'Volture' wing ( slightly larger than the Phase6 but using E205 type section).This model turns out to be very smooth flying in 8mph winds upwards. The upwards being this afternoon where the wind on the edge was 60kph (whatever that is in English) as measured by a hanglider pilot who didn't fly because it was too windy.

for the ultimate rush, make all your planes on the same channel, turn them on, launch them all at once, and control them all at the same time...
