Isaacson Winter Classic, 2/12-14/05, Lost Hills, California

This contest is the warmup for the World Cup, MaxMen International FAI contest. You can fly with the best in the world on the best field in the world in a low key setting. Entry level events (P-30, Cat Glider etc.) are included. Novices are welcome!

Saturday, February 12,
F1A, F1B & F1C
Round 1, 8:00am!
Round Schedule:
1 8:00am–9:00am
2 9:00am–10:00am
3 10:00am–11:00am
4 11:00am–12:00am
5 12:00am–1:00pm
6 1:00pm–2:00pm
7 2:00pm–3:00pm

Round One Maxes:
F1A 210 seconds
F1B 240 seconds
F1C 240 seconds

Fly-Off Schedule:
Round eight, 5 minute max.
F1A 3:30pm–3:40pm
F1B 3:45pm–3:55pm
F1C 4:00pm–4:10pm
Additional rounds to be announced

Special Event: Gollywocks!
Five, 3 min. max. 8:00am–3:00pm
Sunday, Special Events:
8:00am – 1:00pm

Round Schedule:
All events two minute max.
1 8:00am–8:45am
2 8:45am–9:30am

Fly-Offs will begin at 12 noon and finish by 2:00. At 2:00, any remaining ties will be broken by using Champagne Flight Times.

F1E Slope Soaring
12 noon – 5:30pm
F1E contest will be held on Monday. Five rounds, 45 minutes each, starting at 12 noon. Event director - Peter Brocks.

Entry Fee:
F1A, B and C, $10.00 each event. All others $5.00 each event.
(Must be current member AMA, MAAC or AMA Affiliate. Also Lost Hills Assoc. member)

Jr.-Sr. Open Class combined.
Saturday, First through third, each event.
Sunday, First through third, each event.

i'm coming, as well as my dad! ryan, but right now i'm in the flyoff in f1A with mike mckeever and jim parker, so i have atleast one flyoff planed at the southwest regionals, because it got rained out at the other contest before the flyoffs. oh and i won f1h at the other contest that almost got rained out, ryan

Ryan and Mr. I, did you notice we're going to fly FF Slope gliders on Monday? On Tuesday, they're going to have the team selection contest for F1E (Slope). Maybe you (and me, too) can sneak in some R/C time.

Mr. I, there are a few guys that come from the SD area and our regular SoCal FF practice field is in Perris. Maybe you can get your folks to get you there.

well, i can slope soar maybe if i can skip school for 2 days, my dad is looking at some F1E's. i could probably bring my raider and unicorn and i could just go to one of those giant hills after the contest or rounds. Mr. I, my dad is a 4 time world champion in F1C. what class are u interested in? my main events are F1A, F1H and handlaunch. but i fly a much more. thanks, ryan

Isaacson Results

The Isaacson Winter Classic was very successful with a total of 126 entries. Participation from the SoCal group was down because of possible rain (It didn't!). Flyers came from Denmark, England, Canada, Argentina, Ukraine and Russia. Many World and World Cup Champions were in attendance. Join us next year!
