Hey guys,
In case you haven't seen the news from AMA, please make sure you go to https://amablog.modelaircraft.org/am...19/10/07/4029/ and send off a letter to your congressional delegation. Otherwise, our F5J Tour may be restricted to 'low level' contests, only!!!
Regards, Richard

Richard thanks for the heads up on this. Guys FYI there is already a good current RCG thread for discussing this issue here: The 400 foot fight Probably best to use that thread for sharing your thoughts on this topic.

Thanks!

Tour standings updated, Season done!

The F5J USA Tour season standings were just updated with the East Coast Fall Festival results and are available on this page. Not a bad idea to double-check your scores and make sure they are correct. With that contest in the books that wraps up our 2019 Tour season.

Technically the 2019 season goes through Nov 30 but no other events are scheduled so we all get to enjoy/endure a contesting break...but not for long: the 2020 season starts with a bang in Arizona on Dec 7 - Info here. This event includes our 2019 season awards ceremony. Get those new planes built and dialed in and hope to see you in AZ soon!

Please donate to GliderScore!

For those of you who used GliderScore in your Tour events this season it's time to think about making a donation to Gerry Carter in Australia, the chief developer of GliderScore. Some of you know this but for those that do not: Gerry works tirelessly maintaining and adding features to GliderScore that enable our F5J events to run better and more smoothly and efficiently. Things like smartphone scoring have made a huge impact and have reduced the labor required to CD and score our events.

There is no charge to download and use GliderScore. The cost of maintaining the program is 100% dependent on donations so please send a donation soon via this link: http://www.gliderscore.com/Donate.aspx

Thanks Gerry for all your work, and thanks to those clubs that take a moment to send him a donation.

Thanks Chris...I second that! GliderScore is great, and continues to get even better! IMHO, any club that uses GliderScore should consider donating at least $100! It's probably saved them well over that in grief & aggravation during the course of a contest season. That's not just clubs either. Consider how quickly you can get information on where you stand in the contest, as well as where others stand. Also, it's been my experience that any issues we've encountered, once notified, Gerry has been quick to resolve, and he's doing it on his own! C'Mon guys, think about it...Your donation is for a very good tool, that IMO, will only get better as time goes on.

The Albuquerque Soaring Association voted on, and made a donation to GliderScore just last night. Thanks for the reminder that we need to continue to support this great program.

I should add that Gerry is certainly a tireless program developer. I've had experiences where I've contacted him for program support, and find that his responses are coming at what must be in the middle of the night for him. Truly dedicated!!!
