Hi there. I too have a First generation Radian Glider that is still flying really well. I lve flying it anad I have flown it over the Snake River and over the columbia Riverin Wahington. It is a real work horse. It is so neatand it flies with the sotck motor. I am using asynthetic oil on the bearings and that is so slippery and have not lost a bearing with this oils. The Radian is so neat. Mine is about 20 yearss old no and is still going strong. Hope the E-Flight wil be as good as my old one. Chuck in Des Moines , WA.

I am also using Blenderm Tape on the hinges. I have replace the tape a few time now because it just craked and is getting a bet long in the tooth. The hinges needed replacement twiced in the past. Flew mine last year in Wilopa Oregon and it was fun. The prop I am using is the 10 -6 folding prop. Have fun, and stay out of the wind and rain.

I wonder if they reinforced the rear of the fuselage compared to the original and radian pro ?

This was my first official night flight caught on camera with my E-flite Night Radian RC Glider. I uploaded this originally on my GBLynden's RC channel, but decided to re-upload this less edited version in honor the rerelease to my Random Reviews channel.

De-lighted Night Radian Personal Altitude Record
I'm 88 and my eyesight and depth perception is not as good as it used to be, therefore I stopped flying it even at dusk and no flights after dark. So I pulled the lighting system out of it (mostly to clean up the cockpit of wires, etc) and made a plain vanilla Radian out of it. This summer I played around with my digital altimeter onboard to see how high I could get it and still see it. Right away I noticed that under 1,000 feet everything was looking good, as I got higher I began seeing double. It looked like two Radians flying in close formation. My last flight before the storms moved in here was on a beautiful bluebird day, not a cloud in the sky, so I decided to go for broke and beat my previous attempts. (**my two gliders have neon orange on the underside of their wings to help my vision out some)
Hardly any breeze so launched her and spiraled up to where I was picking up some thermals, which I really wasn't expecting on this kind of a day. Double vision and all she kept climbing until I got scared when all I could see was a small orange dot so opted to end it there. Dove down to where I could see a glider again and finished the flight just lazing around enjoying the day. The Jolly Logic altimeter read 2,217 ft. That will probably be my last attempt to set another personal record. I'm sure any of you younger guys can beat that so if you have please post it. **Conscendo S and neutered Night Radian. (and one NIB just in case) |

Night flying in France
Any person who has a French FFAM licence to fly radio controlled model aircraft has had to pass an on-line test on aspects of model flying, particularly with respect to safety. They will therefore be aware that flying after dusk and before dawn, ie in hours of darkness, is not permitted. I would expect this to be the case in the UK also, but what about other parts of the world?

Thanks for the review. I've started learning to fly on my Radian.
