New E-Flite "Thunderbirds" F-16 70mm EDF

A few pictures of the new E-Flite F-16 "Thunderbirds" scheme 70mm edf, to appear soon on the Horizon web page.

The specs are similar to the current grey F-16 offerings, but now include for the BNF version an AS3X gyro as well.

More details can be found on the Horizon web page :

PNP : https://www.horizonhobby.com/product...df-pnp-efl7875

BNF : https://www.horizonhobby.com/product...lect-p-efl7850

Here's a direct link to the older grey FMS / Horizon F-16 version :

I hope they price it as well as they priced the Viper!

Me too. But I'd guess prob $20-30 more considering gear. $269 bnf would have me picking up one

I don't expect it to be the same price as the Viper. I just mean very competitively priced like the Viper is. $269 would be spot on!

So that's where that one went...

Also, a quick point of clarification:

PNP = Plug-N-Play and does not include/requires a receiver to be 'plugged in' (so no AS3X or SAFE Select in this case)

BNF Basic = Bind-N-Fly Basic (Basic means no battery/charger) and does include a receiver, in this case with AS3X and SAFE Select, that's ready to bind to a Spektrum transmitter

And shock-absorbing struts plus a few other details do cost a bit more on this one, so I'm thinking $269.99 for PNP and $299.99 for BNF Basic sounds just about right

I'd pass for now on that price for a 70 Got too many edfs as is. But $249 pnp or $269 bnf hmm lol. Those would sell like hotcakes to those that dont even want another edf ha

$269.99 for the PNP is exactly the same price as other 70mm PNPs, so I suspect the PNP and (especially!) the BNF Basic versions will both sell like hotcakes

True but you guys were a bit cheaper on the viper then the fms counterpart(came with flaps) and as3x and was 249. Thats what got me interested plus I dug the paint Id pay $20 more for the gear but $50 more? The fms f16 is currently on sale through fms for$229 pnp. Anyway I'll wait it out personally. I'm in no rush thx. And yes it will still sell well at $269 and $299 just not as well ,I personally will just wait for the sale. I do know these silly egoTrump tariffs jumped up pricing a bit.

I agree! I was HOPING to see y'all come in a little cheaper than the FMS counterpart like you did on the Viper but $269/$299 is still a great price and in line with the market for this plane I think!

It's a fair price Though I get cheaper on horizon stuff because I also have taxes in cali but hey ya gotta pay to play and I have plenty of edfs.

It is nice looking but the tailerons are not scale they are a standard fixed elevator. I cannot buy this because of that design flaw.

I think I can deal with it, especially when it's already got linkages hanging out and visible servo wires and no gear doors. The lack of scale tailerons is the least of my concerns. Sounds like a design choice rather than a flaw.
