Dave Patrick

Just got off the phone with Dave Patrick. It was a honor to chat with him. He looked at my pictures and confirmed this was in fact his personal plane. Itís been to japan and Poland and all over the world. He said he has prob 250 flights on it.

He figured it was crushed and long gone. But here it is sitting in my garage and he is glad I am getting it ready to fly again many years later.

I am going to send him my canopy to sign so I can clear over. Pretty stoked to be talking to another one of my RC heroís.

Dave is a super nice down to earth guy. He attended our SPA Knoxville Event back in the summer that I was CD'ing. And boy can he fly. He flew a recovered Tower Kaos 60 ARF with a Rossi black head.

I talked with him about his time at Goldberg and he gave a lot of insight into the design on the Sukhoi which I have one that needs updated.

Here is pic of him with his wife.

Well the finesse motor is finally home from Dr Richard Verano. I added the new valve cover from my stock of YS parts I keep in hand.

Just waiting on my new Hayes fuel tank and Prather fuel line. Then itís time to install.

Are you going to put a nose ring in it? The Hyde mount jumps around at idle.

Yes sir. It has the nose ring and all. When I received it. It looks like it was flown and just set up and never touched again. Going through the whole thing and will post pictures as I go here. I been in constant contact with Dave and he is wanting to see this unfold also.

Trying to talk him into maiden it for me if he can come up here. That would be sweet.
