Do you have a full set of wings now Dave? This is going to be a cool plane. . I like the tube guides... better than a piece of string pal.

Dave S that looks like the Airfieldmodels dot com magnetic jig system, am I right? It looks like very nice stuff and a magnetic topped bench to use them with would be a sweet way to build. How do you like the system? I'm considering getting some myself, but while the price is fine it's the shipping to Aust. that kills me!

You guessed right. I am a fan of the system. It has never been easier to build straight and true models since adopting the magnetic building method.

I highly recommend Paul's products as his craftsmanship is beyond perfect, but if you look around RCG you see products purchased at building centers by others more clever than I am, proving there are other solutions that can avoid shipping charges.

That being said I think Paul's stuff is worth the extra shipping charges!

If I can make a bit of extra cash I think it'd be well spent on postage for Paul's stuff, he's clearly very talented. It's just so MUCH postage... Pity he's not building models now, Thwinng! on his site is probably my favourite build online, but everything he does is always exquisite quality. I've never seen anything else like his lattice web wing skin, it's amazing, esp. when you read the article and see the effort he went to.

Hitec 7245MH HV mini servos. They have 89 oz. in. of torque at 7.4 volts.

Before giving the wing an overall sanding I cover the rib cap strips to prevent the sanding bar from digging in.

Primary sanding of wing panels is complete. The aileron stock is rubber cemented to the wing to ease achieving conformity to the trailing edge. The next step is joining the wing halves.
