Hey duke, have had another look at sizing and I think a bit over 700mm wing span for the 50mm EDFs and the 64s will still fit into the nacelles OK

This is a better size all round I think, and its about 960 long ..

All the pics are with 64mm EDFs in the nacelles

I know how you feel Bob, its sometimes difficult to stay (reasonably) scale .. ish

If thats the size of the EDF you are trying to fit, then the nacelles are just going to have to be a bit bigger

Ordered these (see pic) from RC Castle on the 25th and they arrived today .. not bad from China .. well .. Hong Kong .. wanted to see how good the Freewing was compared to the FMS

Very cool looking bird! You working on a 3 piece fold-over wing???!
Talking about size.. Remember that this wing area has to carry 2x64mm edfs
2 x 1800 to 2200 4s batteries
2x 60 amp escs
Thats a fair bit of weight!

I just measured up my twin B.O.P
An its 1340 long an 920ws
This one has no lifting fuselage so cog will be all the more critical. We don't want any crumbling noses lol

As for wing span and overall size, I think theres a weight to wing area calculator that will workout wingloading .
I seen someone use it somewhere

OK, I am thinking back to the 900mm wingspan .. 1200mm long for you .. I will go smaller and build one with for 2 x 50mm fans and EScs (which I have ordered)

Thanks mate!
Yes the 700mm ws
Will be good for 2x50s
I had had much trouble in the past with 50s being very unbalanced and not good enough of a design to make the necessary changes to fix it. This always the downfall of the skyangle range of jets.....

Hey Duke, we going flat bottom wing or semi-symmetrical ?

Sure you dont want to go flat with KFM2 .. it would be a LOT easier

Flat bottom pls. Just like the Sorceress bottom wing. Made in 3 peices and joined on the spar..
You can just do the plans as kfm2 an I'll change them
