Thread OP

I can't describe it

HOLY CRAP....I didn't get to sleep until 12:30 last night, and here I am up at 5 already..Why you may ask......because I got to "fly" an Airbus A300 sim at FedEx Pilot Training for a little over 2 hours....can you say adrenaline rush ?

It was the third time in 2 years that I've had the privilege to play with their $20,000,000 "toy".....doing landings and take-offs etc....Last night however was different....Our host and instructor (a consummate gentleman) set the aircraft at 10,000 feet, told me I had the airplane, and then cut both engines I'm flying a 300,000 pound airplane ...dead stick...we couldn't make Mem Intl, so I "landed" at the old Millington Naval Air Station....managed to get it stopped in a soybean field.......Andy had to pry my hands from the

And yes, I'm still spooled up

There may be video later.....

"Spooled up" would be an understatement for sure! What a neat thing to be able to do and then be able to say you "walked away" from a potential simulated disaster. Two thumbs up! I had a flying simulator on my computer for quite some time and it was quite realistic 'till it "died" one evening just as I was on the last leg of final into Traverse City, MI in a 182. There were a few times, especially flying at night and on instruments, when the simulator seemed very realistic. I can't imagine the superb quality simulator you experienced but I can understand your excitement!
