Likely a 1000 3s would be ok.

Your Sea Scout will be much easier to balance and likely be a better SOG candidate.

And remember the Planform of this boxy model originated with the ME 163.

So it has a tendency to fly fast ;>}
Too much elevator will stall it depending on the speed and AOA. So use EXPO.

BTW I have installed Skype and funded it.
So when are we going to try it out ?
Hey Bob, message me with your Skype name

Nice build and conversion, I like it:-)

On the Jetstream I had a T-Motor 1806-2300 on a 3s 1300-1500mAh battery and a 5x4.5 prop. Flys great with AUW ~ 400g.
This summer I updated to a T-Motor F30-2800kv , same battery, same prop >> much greater performance

Thanks Jurgen, I'm expecting it to weight a little more than that, I hope its not too much more though, am hoping to use a bit slower motor and bigger prop, less noise

I like this little motor (see pic) and have used it on lots of my models but it is a bit noisy with a 6 x 4 prop on

Finished and ready for maiden

Weight without battery 450 grams with 100/3s battery 550 grams had a bit of difficulty balancing ...

Battery had to be way back, maybe the hatch would have been better a little further back ... but will balance OK with 1000/3s battery .. a more powerful heavier motor could be used as there is plenty of room use a bigger battery and move it further forward

I decided to make a removable water rudder as most of the time I will probably fly from grass but when I want to fly from water maybe it will need a water rudder ..
If you intend just flying from grass, then I guess you could drop this and if course if you intend to just fly from water then the water rudder could be fixed rather than removable.
