Home made retracts

Here is a simple way to verify whether a retractable landing gear idea works.
I know there is software to design and simulate linkages, but I don't feel like spending any amount of time to download and learn some new software that I will use maybe 10 min in one year and by the time I need it again all would be forgotten.

For me this way is quick and fun.

What retract servo are you using and where does the connecting rod connect ?

You may not have seen these ---

The arm that I am moving will be the servo arm. The plane this is intended for will be a very light slow flyer, so I will use a micro servo, something around 5 grams.

I've seen those animations. Most of them are kind of complex. I need something simple and light.

That's pretty clever and the stress of a landing isn't concentrated in 1 place
