Mail Call - Monday 5 November 2018

Came in the Mail this morning ...
One FX706 FF EPP Glider from FeeBay

Box looked like it had been sat on by everyone between here and China ( Hmmm- sounds familiar )
Ever since Chucking the FX707 and having it roll out of my hands like a train on tracks I thought - I should have another !
But not another 707 , nope . It had to be the 706 .
I did chuck it very gently in the limited space of the back yard and it was stable and smooth and it did glide .
So looks like another future RC project .

Posted some pictures of the 706 with the 707 .

The FX706 is priced on Ebay over a very broad range , so if you want one shop carefully .

Lets talk about the differences .
The FX706 has a shorter more stout fuse than the 707
The FX706 has mould lines for the control surfaces / Ail / Rud / Ele
The FX706 has no removable canopy
The FX706 has no carbon spar / or any spar for that matter .
The FX706 weighs 183.1 grams without the stickers
The FX706 has a shorter tail moment , so might be easier to CG ( Thus - lighter to RC ? )
With a larger fuse , might be easier to stuff RC gear inside .
Not going to rush this one ..

I have some 707s coming. I think that is what I saw flying at a local slope the other day.

Now I have to look for this 706!
