ppfffffftttttt interesting how some people could imagine in which way a planes behavior will be... just after seeing the wing and stab geometry.......

sorry.... here is the reality.... i never had success in getting the voodoo stalled...... when you come near the critical vel. it only takes down the nose and thats it.

This is a pylon racer..... to be fast you neednt have any critical behavior in any way.... so... its still a fine plane ;-)

Yes Voodoo good choice. Clearly the Dynamic has more wing and tail area, which would equte to less wing loading which would equate to slower landings and less chance of stall You do not have to be Einstein to work this out

6th flight on Voodoo today Have dialled in some expo on elevator as touchy bugger at speed. I usually hate expo as like to directly feel models response to proportonal input. Currently this is only model I have expo in now. Now flies much smoother around pitch

Hi all.

Recieved the model Yesterday morning, how long was that?

I must admit that I am very impressed with the quality of this model. Shipping was a killer but the price of the actual model is right on. I should have ordered more then one but I did not have the money.

More detailed pictures of the plane later.

Here are two pictures of what I ended up with after trying to fit 4 TP2100 cells in it. It fits like this.

The battery's are pushed all the way forward up to the motor. The ESC sits flat behind the battery. The two servo's are located in a slightly different place then normal. The wing sadle will need to be enlarged slightly at the rear. But this is not so bad as it looks, the servo mounting lugs still need to be cut off.

Am I going to fly it like this? Maybe someday but for now I am going to keep it light untill I am used to flying this model.

One more side note. It would be smart to have atleast one Graupner C261(size 22mm) servo. This is for the elevator, it would fit perfectly in the provided mounting bracket. That is if you want to use it.

Gregg, atleast you know now that it will fit.

You are right, 4 cells do fit.

Gregg,

My pleasure.

Robert,

It will fit, that is all I said. There are lots of problems with this setup. I guess the C of G is about number 10 on the list.

At one time I was considering using a MEGA 16/7/x with a lightenend Kontronik KPG25 gearbox and a big folding prop. To make it into a mini hotliner.

For now I may end up using a HET 3W and a 6x3" Folder on 3S TP2100. I simply like my folders.

For a pylon racer, you might be better of with the APC 5*5 folder...

Jos,

That set up will land at mack 1 !! Hope you have big fields where you fly with no obsticals !

I have had my 7th flight on Voodoo this week. Running mega 16/15/3 lipo etc. I am now starting to enjoy it with less stress and more fun. I love the way it whips around WOT in tight turns. Square loops at 200 km are a hoot. The more I fly it the more I love it Bring it on

Chris,

If that means if will fly at WARP 5, bring it on!!!

Wim, I am intenting to fly mine like a hotliner, atleast give it a try. I am not realy a pylon kind of pilot. That means I want it to climb fast and top speed with motor on is not so much of a concern. I will make it go WARP 5 with the motor off and in an insane dive. That is why I would need something like a 6x4'' on it, better climb performance.

Folders are also nice on landing. However there are not many good one's around in this size.

Sure it will!

Be sure to check for interferance, do a few range checks at the field. This is the main reason I will never ever use a brushed motor again. To much radio noise.
