I recall in a thread maybe this thread that some of the mega 2 series were demagnitizing from heat build up

It is certianly up there as one of the most powerful motors for this plane but there were a couple of others with ~4000 to 4500 KV that were close behind but amps are way up there if i recall ~70 amps with the 4000 to 4500 kv motors

I did a brushed 3200kv and melted in flight a 40 amp kontronik sun 4001 ESC but i had a 110mha reciever pack as well

I couldnt make my kontronik 480 fun 55 (5500kv) fit as that uses ~100 amps and the 90 amp ESC a big block of thing and three suitable 30c 3200mha wouldnt fit so well as thay all do in my bigger limited F5D fox

Still working on the problem

Hey jacko, I know you said you read this whole thread so are you going to put the receiver behind the elev servo? You'll have to if you wanna fit serious mojo in there. And that servo extension tray also...
Yup, im copying your layout The case is coming off my optima 6 Rx and getting jammed down behind the elevator servo. Im amazed you fit an AR7000 in there!

Sexy plate there Jacko,
Hey.....The servos are going to go on the bottom of that thing right? Is there enough room between that and whatever is in the bottom of your fuse?
That thing is way nicer than my plate though.

Just, I hope scorpion 60A ESC sits just below it, but ive stripped it down. Im crossing my fingers that the esc/battery leads can fit in there too.

Nobody stocks micro futaba servos in NZ, so the 3154's are coming from HK, which sucks.. More waiting.

I found JR DS385's locally but the specs look rubbish compared to the futaba's, and they are stupidly expensive (~$60US each!)

Do you recommend a european site where I could order the Mega 16/15/2? Any ESC recommendation for this motor? Should it work on 3S LiPo?

You'll want a 60A esc. A very small one I hope you have some previous experience with silly fast small planes.

I gave up trying to wedge my 1850 40C 3S (and 4S) into the voodoo, it just aint gonna happen... had about 12 attempts at resoldering wires, but never was able to stick the wing on

Ordered some hyperion G3 35C 1800 3S's, they have some promising dimensions - 84.7x27.8x26.1mm This is turning into one very expensive little pink plane

Instead of 4S, Once im bored of the 28-37-2 Ill bang a 16-15-2 in it, and squeel like a little girl.

Voodoo setup request.

I bought a used Voodoo not long ago but it came without documentation. Could someone tell me the correct CG location and control surface throws? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Ralf,

My setup: Neu 1105/3Y, CC-35, JR241 servos and pulled by a 4.75x4.75.

I haven't flown it yet though. Too many other projects on my plate at the moment. Really looking forward to it.
