I don't know if it priced w/ the inflight mix control or not. The add says 8.5mm carb. The option used to be 9 or 10 mm with or without mix.
I have it and it is nice to have as I can tune it as the day heats up.
I would imagine you could just order a in-flight carb for it.
I'm running the 9mm. The 10mm seams to have draw problems w/o a pump.
My Enya Chrome was very touchy w/ the 10mm carb and tank/pressure location.

P7 cg

If you wait till the H9 P7 is finished before gluing the stabs on you can add any needed tail weight inside the stabs so there won't be any ugly weights outside the fuselage !

What do you guys recommend for a pipe for either NR 60, 61 side or rear exhaust? this will be for the GP Ultra Sport ARF and for my newly acquired Dirty Birdy.
I like the short pipe 50351, but if I have to, the 50350 would do.
IS 11x8 APC, 10% nitro, 20% oil a good choice?

On another note, I just rebuilt an NR 57 with a tuned NR muffler and it runs well on 5%nitro/20%oil, but not sure what the best prop is. any help will be appreciated.

I did some testing with the short pipe on a R61F and determined it was nothing more than a muffler. Go with a full pipe.

I also have one of the small case CR NR57ís and honestly I didnít like it, I took it off my Curare. It seemed it didnít like go fast setups; small props or pipes. I havenít measured anything but I have a feeling itís not a high timed engine. It will probably do good with an 11-8 or even a 12-6 with that cool shiny muffler.

I think you are right Eric. I tried a 9.5x8 and it ran well but it would lean out or richen out in flight. I'll try 11-8 or 12-6 next time. Running 5% n, 20%oil was getting about 14k on the ground. it is on a GP Escapade, the plane had accelerating unlimited vertical, really great!

If memory serves the 57 is timed for 3D flying

I just acquired a nice Bridi DB and I was planning on putting the Rossi CR 57 on it, but now not sure. I think it will be ok but not spectacular? I may choose another NovaRossi 60 or even an OS 61 FX That I am rebuilding now.

I had one of the Novarossi CR 57s and was very happy with it. I did not like the shiny NR muffler it came with. Once I added a Jett/Evolution tuned muffler from Horizon it really woke up with and 11x6 prop, much like the 55 Ax.

I may have a MAC's tuned pipe or an old "Magic Muffler", I think were made in Australia, I can try to use on the CR 57.

The Magic Mufflers work and are easier to set up than a full pipe, usually at the expense of midrange. The Jett or Nelson are pretty much bolt and play, again, you may give up some midrange smoothness.

11x6 APC is a good prop? sport or pattern?
Also, I am running 5% nitro, I think will be ok for sport flying. I am not looking for last bit of power, just sport flying the CR 57 till I get my Bridi DB ready to fly again.

I run the 11x6 on my vintage pattern type planes and my Phoenix Typhoon. It gets me in the RPM range for the Jett muffler and I think it performs better than the old wooden 11x7-1/2 we ran back when.
