The 300mAhs on my 65mm version do pretty good, plenty of punch and speed doubled up for 2S, and it gets a solid 5 - 5+ minute flights on them. I wouldn't waste my time putting something that small in the Mobula75 . . . I like flying more than holding the Whoop and changing batteries . . . ₿ↄ}
My Mobula turns 11 this month, and I've been flying it with 450s & 550s since I got it. 1S has more than enough power for inside, and does good outside too. Doubled up for 2S outside, and it moves along really good and quick, and I'll get my 5 to 5+ flight times running 1 or 2S. Those 802/16kv motors are really efficient on all three sizes, but the 85 is definitely better on them doubled up for outside. Inside cruising, 1S is fine with it, and longer flights than the 75, and it's very noticeably faster with even longer flight times on 2S. My boards are F3 & F4s with Betaflight 3.5 & 4.0. There's a difference in how they fly, but not really a fair comparison with the frame size differences. I have a Primo 080x with the HM 1102s and even though it's basically Mobula HD parts, it's a completely different critter. I have another 080x kit I'm putting a set of the 802/16kvs in next. With almost double the kv of the 1102s, I want to try that on 1S and see how it does. Should be really fast on 2S, and easily spin up those bi-blade 65mm props with either battery setup, and get those longer Toothpicky flight times too. |

I've always enjoyed running my toys at Quaker Dragway, but really loved Nelson's Ledges road course a lot more.
I blame the battery manufacturers completely . . . we should be able to have both, plenty of power and punch, but it shouldn't be all that hard to let me do it for at least my 5 minutes. That 85 with the 802s does pretty good, but I also have another 85 with Skystars 1103/11kvs running Avan Blurs that's a LOT faster than that on 2S, and I get pushing 6 minutes running it hard on 2S 520 mAh 32 gram Gensace batts. They can do 3S too, and I just got my Crazybee v3 yesterday, and am switching out the v2.0 in it for that. I only have a couple 3S batteries, and didn't want to chance it on the v2.0 board, heard bad things about trying 3S on those, and 3S is probably more than I would need anyway . . . but gotta try it at least once, just to see. Flying and fun are what count the most, for how ever long you're airborn. Hope you enjoy your Mobula as much as I have, and still do. I wouldn't try tuning it myself either, but I can do a mean copy and paste . . . |

Edit: The PID and filter settings that came stock on the Trashcans F4 FC was fine on my Mobula. |

and i suppose you also want these unicorn packs to be ultra cheap, and available with free shipping from inside the US? all that battery daydreaming aside: I just flew my mob7 for the first time. its the first RTF quad ive bought in probably 2 years. I got it because solo said it was his favorite 1s. so far so good. still have to take it outside and try it on 2s, but its already too hot outside. so maybe tomorrow morning. |

sar·casm /ˈsärˌkazəm/ . . . Irony employed in the service of mocking or attacking someone or something
I also blame Chevy for not making their trucks Ford Tuff . . . All "sarcasm" aside, up until very recently, my Mobula was my 1½ favorite Whoop. On 1S with the 802/16kv motors was a bit faster than my 75 with the HM 703 19kvs. It was easily flyable inside, fast and fun outside, and I was getting solid 5 minute to better flights. On 2S, it REALLY picked up. Was a LOT faster, reacted quicker, and did all the good things I would expect from a Whoop that size with a LOT more power. I was also still getting the same long flight times doubling up the batteries for 2S as I was running 1S. I though the HM 802/16kv motors on it must be the reason. I was getting almost a minute more air time than the 75/703, whatever batteries I used, and no matter which props. I put a set on a Beta 85 frame I re-drilled, and it flew better, longer and faster than the Mobula on 1S, and a LOT faster on 2S. I've always liked how my 85/8520 brushed fly better than my 75/820s already, and same with the 85/802 brushless. I like it better than the Mobula 75. More recently, I put a set of the 802/16kvs in a 65 BWhoop frame. It's plenty quick on 1S, more than fast enough for inside flying, and 65s were born to fly inside. The smaller size handles better, more precise, and fits between/around, and through a lot more places and gaps. I get my 5 minute flights on 300 mAh, instead of using 450s & 550s too. Outside on 2S, it seems to be as fast as the 75 Mobula, at least FPV, plus all the advantages of the smaller size. Doubling the 300s up for 2S, I still get the same 5-5+ minute flights too. It can fly fine, and seems as quick doubling up the larger 550 HV batts on the 65, but I only gain about 30-45 seconds using them. I'm guessing the extra weight, that a lot of you notice just tiny amounts in flight characteristics, takes away a lot of the extra mAh size advantage, and is what cuts down the extra air time. I still like my Mobula, but I really do like both the 65 and the 85 with those Mobula 802s even better. You've flown a lot bigger, better, faster than me, and the Mobula will probably seem pretty tame to what you're use to, but it really is a fun versatile Whoop to fly, and I hope you get a ton of enjoyment Whoopin around with it !! |

no clue what that all means either
its's a bit easier to make sense without all the added rigamarole and vague innuendo. EDIT: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! ... ... ... ... |

My fault . . . I keep forgetting the "special" people out there . . . I'm sure you know, the ones always looking to start some kind of krap . . . . over nothing . . . idiots like that seem to have been on the net as far back as I remember, and just won't go away . . . or is that still too vague ????

Hello all, i come from brushed whoop and have get this little monster, at the moment I fly only in 1s for funny moments indoor with my sons and around my house because I'm still not able to fly in 2s without destroying my Mobula.
Unfortunately in 1s I have a tedious oscillations that I can't remove, I tried several pid tuning without good results... should I keep this problem in 1s or is there any solution? Just for information I have flashed the last 4.0.6 betaflight version and have also tried the github community presets in whoop class. Thanks guys every idea is useful |
