Happymodel mobula7 75mm crazybee 2s whoop

Happymodel mobula7 75mm crazybee 2s whoop

I just saw this and having just reviewed the betafpv 65x thought it looked a great price and interesting.
So let's discuss it and see what we think, I'll turn this into a full review soon as mine arrives.

Buy it here https://bit.ly/2SIDQSs ( affiliate tracking link no extra cost to you but I get small commission to put towards more review items )

Cheaper from xinte and mention my name nigelsheffield123 for $5 credit https://m.xt-xinte.com/Happymodel-Mo...r-p555452.html
Or alternatively easier to use this coupon https://m.xt-xinte.com/Coupon-cp6905-aa7208.html

2s whoops are great as I get found out with previous builds but always built my own requiring time and skill and effort.
Now this makes it easy and cheaper than building my own!

If anyone wants to help me out without it costing you a penny please use my referral code TY1117244425201308OD for anything you buy on banggood and it will help me fund future reviews thanks.
Mobula7 from happymodel bench review. (9 min 43 sec)

Indoor flight on 1s lipo very fast still
Mobula7 1s acro indoors using 250mah for over 3 minutes flying. (3 min 2 sec)

Mobula7 2s acro garden flight using 250mah for 4 minute flight loops and rolls great. (3 min 34 sec)

Mobula7 - Deep Dive - 2s Fast!! (24 min 30 sec)

So far it seems a good option, good light times of 4 minutes on 260mah gnb batts https://www.banggood.com/nl/GAONENG-...244425201308OD

These batts are a good deal and reports are good one them https://bit.ly/2C4uXgu
Decent power and no apparent yaw washout problems spotted yet.
Downside is the frame , nick has managed to break it in several places but he does fly and crash hard.
Adjustable camera angle seems to be working well and makes it easier to fly imdoors.

Links for FC and motors, mention nigelsheffield123 for $5 credit .

Xt-xinte have made an option for adding 2 frames and some glue for just a couple ús extra to their already low price.

Edit.
Mine arrived and my thoughts and some other info are bellow.

The hype is REAL, this is a great little whoop with tons of power on 2s for power looping my house and garden.
And on 1s it is great for indoors too both on stock 250mah and 450mah lipos.
Camera is good enough and angle adjust is very nice.
Osd and smart audio and telemtry all work perfectly.
Frame has been ok for me so far and I've crashed fairly hard a few times, i think the frame will hold up fine for most people ..

Flight times are impressive
250mah 2s 3:30 minutes outside hard flying more if you take it easy.
250 1s 3:10 minutes cruising indoors fairly fast.
450 1s 5 to 6 minutes indoors cruising fairly fast.

Power on 1s is just about right for indoors and handles nicely.
On 2s i can still fly it indoors but outside is where it shines, the power is simply addictive.
For the price this is a steal.....just get one!! ( Or 2 lol ).

This video shows the power this thing has.
Mobula7 in garden failed big dive under pergola before rain stopped play. (1 min 10 sec)

How to bind frsky from betaflight https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...postcount=1299

Review with some more info from solo including dump for 3.5 and 4.0 https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...in-progress%29
Some people have reported wobbles on their mobula7 ( not many but worth mentioning ) when running on 1s lipo, this wasn't present on mine, but if they flew it on 2s it was fine so just limit throttle to a managable amount for indoors , I suspect this is a bad batch of motors or props or something , maybe tune or betaflight version related.

Spare parts are available from xt-xinte at reasonable prices https://www.xt-xinte.com/Search-Mobula7/list-r1.html

Or banggood if you prefere ( more expensive but free post )

yeah, notice similarly...5amp ESC with 16000kv is kinda low for 2S.

My 65x hits 14 amps easily with 31mm props on similarly specked motors,
That's 3.5amp per motor.
With 40mm props on there it's gonna be a fair bit more and get very close tongue limit of the ESC ... Hope there is some sort of protection for that?

F3 processor .... F4 would be better but not the end of the world.

Range of Rx and vtx might not be fantastic either from what I've experienced but till it's released and tested we won't know for sure?

Hmm , don't they all lol.

Time will tell,
The discussion on FB is hotting up already about it lol,
Seems the 0802 can handle the 2s and 40mm props even on a 32g build according to one builder.
So on 24.5g should be good.....really good!

Try 2 X 1s lipos seems to be the thing at the moment, it actually works really well, it's much lighter because there is no need for long wires and balance connector on the battery.

I found these work really well in the 65x https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...64798f3fd92aac
Giving 3:30 minutes with lots of power..

The good thing is it's REALLY easy to change it over to an red jst or xt30 if you want to .. and then buy these

I think the quad overall looks good, it's the board I really want though. Imagine something like a tinyf11sh with this board and 1103 10,000kv motors on a KK65 prop.

There is some speculation that the board is just a normal 1s version but with a ldo capable of coping with 2s voltage.????
Could be an interesting mod to all my 1s brushless whoops, but my sm soldering skills aren't all that great..

Good news ( for me at least lol ) banggood have agreed to send me one to review so this will turn into a full review and discussion forum.

I am excited about this one, having flown the beta65x and loving the 2s power I can see that this will be great with the reduced weight..
Stay tuned!!!
