There's no doubt that you are correct that I had too much power on.
Please bear in mind that this was the first time in my long, long life that I encountered a model that likes to fly on about 1/8 throttle or less.
It was the test flight. I had to learn stuff.
It did fly better after a little down trim, as I knew it would because I was holding on a little 'down' on the stick. I think the elevator was initially rigged fractionally 'up.'

On a flight after the ones depicted in the video the elevator servo decided to go no strike. This gave me some experience of your 'rudder and throttle only' setup. It did not end elegantly, but did not result in any damage. If I remember correctly the servo is a 'high hours' unit from a discarded plane. Ah well...

After all my years of "breaking in" new models I have a drawer full of those same servos !
Not even counting all those old Futaba std 133 class servos left over from the 80-'s and 90's

I did not intend to be critical of your flying.
Just offering some suggestions for adding this "type" to your ticket ;>}

Glad to see it flying nonetheless.

Incidents with this model ,at it's exceptionally low speed ,
don't usually result in damage.

I did take some exception to all the clutter at your choosen flying veneue.
Light poles , Soccer goals et al ;^}

Now you can decorate it in Caloundra TEAM Colors,
which appears to be Blue and White.

Cows Should Fly

OK. I've upgraded the landing gear, replaced the old TowerPro elevator servo with a used HK 9g unit, given the motor a bit of side-thrust and a bit more down-thrust.
Also, in a fit of insanity, I made a cow pilot.
