I too am going to postpone the Viper until spring but I plan to get one of these as soon as they are available.

Jason, is there a decent quantity in the initial shipment?

I caught that also and wondered myself

I didn't see any documentation that the 50A was an upgrade or optional. Just confusing they contradict themselves I several places like the Specs, parts list, ad, video, manual...

I have one coming anyways of course, but it would be nice to know for sure.

I think I need to buy some 4s 2200 packs. Right now I have only 2600 sized packs. The v900 won't work with those, and this probably wont either.

Pitts is one of my favorite airframes of all time.

This one will be hard to resist. I have 3 UMX Pitts and two Pitts from Hobby King.

Watch this video my friend. Start at 8:41
Jason, gives all the information for the New Pitts.
With 3S will have a lot of power but in 4S it's more than the customer in demand.
I like both choices of batteries.

How do you guys think this will compare to the Ultimate2 ? Was about to buy a U2 to get into 3D (and also because I wanted a bipe to join my fleet).

I think the UMX pitts is the one that flies the most like a "real" airplane (it 'feels' like a larger model). I also like the UMX beast and occasionally still fly my champ, but the pitts is just like my 30cc stuff, only in my back yard.

I imagine this pitts will also feel "larger". I am also very happy that it will be available in a PNP version, so I can use my Futaba equipment.

I've been contemplating picking up a UMX Pitts again, but I think I'll hold off and wait for this. I only have grass runways to use in my area, and though they show the plane taking off and landing on grass, I'm still a little suspicious of it's ability to do so consistently without nosing over. I'll wait for the plane to come out and some reviews before picking it up, but it looks great.

Yeah, that would be an issue for me to. I think worst case scenario is it would need some bigger wheels.
