I also made my first goof up. The flaps have more than one hole in which you can install the horns. Of course I opened up the wrong hole in the small flap.

Both...the outside is molded plastic and the inside is fiberglass.

Engine and cowl installed and the plane is ready to test fly. I'm not installing any of the external plastic "dress up" items until I know the plane is good.

Another helpful item that I've never seen included with a kit before is this CG device. You attach it to the spar tubes and lift the handle and see if the plane hangs level. The weight as it sits is 23 lbs and the CG is dead on.

I want to get one. How did you get free shipping? I get the $90 discount but not free shipping. Thank you.

It was only offered for a day or two when they first became available.

The pilot that comes with the kit is a bit of a dork!

I found this guy on Amazon and ordered one:

First flight video. The plane flys well; very stable; stalls are a non-event; rolls a little slowly; pitches down with flaps; lands easy with no flaps.

Thank you for sharing your up to the minute update. You've got more done in one morning than I do for a week.

I noticed that you had a Red spinner and are now flying with a Black one. Is the supplied spinner any good?

The red one is an aluminum spinner for a three blade prop. I'm breaking the engine in with a two blade prop using the plastic spinner from the kit. It is OK.
