Bump!

I certainly hope we get a few more pilots than what's currently on the roster.
Please do consider coming and registering!

The lunches that we get from the local BBQ place (with the help of Dick's wife and sister in law) are the best you'll ever experience at a contest. And there is a chance of having cookies also!

I might be able to come if I can get a 5J plane by then. Won’t know until next month.

Jason, it would be awesome to have you at our event.
Are you looking to get a used F5J plane or a new kit?

I should hopefully have a review plane by then to bring, but not sure if it will be ready in time.

You are flying Explorers now? Did you retire your LASoars?

I still fly my Lasoars but I can't build them as light as the new models.

A little slow around here after the big TS contest. Just think if you can beat Oleg you are the best without having to go all the way to Colorado to prove it. Needless to say we need to support him and keep him on his A game by not making it too easy. We surely could use some of you big dogs to show up or at least a few like me that are just there to have fun and sometimes win too. The field is much more grassy now and more compact. A normal inch of rain doesn't mean a mud fest. Camping is allowed if you need to save a few bucks also.

It is time time to bump this thread up again.

For those who may be thinking of coming here from far away for the first time, the nearest large airport is RDU (Raleigh-Durham). About 1:20 drive from RDU to the flying field.
The hotels and restaurants are in Greenville, NC, another 20 minutes ride to the East. It is a nice college town with lots of good restaurant options.

The weather is very nice that time of year (unless it gets rainy that is ). The statistics say about 6 rainy days per month of November on average. High temps around 70-75, low temps maybe 40-45.

After the rath of Florence, I don’t think Farmville will need more rain any time soon.
