Hi Jiri B!

Do you still produce the Optima Extreme? Also the Scary Electro?
Will the Scary Electro fuse fit the same lipos as the Optima?

Thanks for your help....

Regards Craig

PS.. long time Feefo!

I sold the old Escape molds to Jiří Hušek.
Molds repaired and manufactured old version of Escape.
His page is: https://www.jiri-model.cz/

I wish you many good flights and landings.

Hi
What is the difference in flight character of the old molds versus the new ones?

@ matjon I'd like a small neu or lehner inrunner and gearbox. Because at high rpms they are more efficient than peggy. An out runner is better for lower rpms. Have you considered direct drive setup with one that motors wot output rpm matches your gear drives?

Yes the models I make can be found on my site.
The fuselage Optima is as wide as the fuselage Scary.
More information here:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...-E-6-8kW/page3

No difference in flight characteristics of models Escape /EscapeV2.
Fuselage Escape is for 3s LiPol
Fuselage Escape V2 is for 2s+3s (5s) LiPol 2200mAh
Very, very fast!
2 New pylon Escape 800W (2 min 15 sec)

I have tested engines only Mega 28/25/2, HET Typhoon 2W-25
Gearbox I do not recommend, plane will be spin and the propeller will stand :-) .

Any idea what motor you're going to use?

To be honest,no idea at this stage-it depends what props i can get my hands on and base the motor system on that.
Theres all the fixed Graupner Speed props-gd selection, but i really want to stick with a folder setup.
Will scout around and see whats available.

The plane will be a 'fast sport flyer'.....hoon around and a bit of hot-lining....won't be a all out speeder...

I did consider using a mid size folder from Marcus but I don't have a suitable motor, the motor/esc/prop I'm going with is stuff I have already. If it doesn't work for whatever reason then I'll look for something else

The smallest folders i have from Marcus are his 7x12's (x2 pairs),would like to use those.

The 7" dia would good on the.1100mm wingspan, would most likely have to go with a outrunner to drive them..

Will look around for some prop tests results.

Would like to go in-runner on this plane, but want to stay with a folder setup...if i can find a suitable prop/motor combo..

The 16-40-1 was used by the OP, I use a 16-40-2E on 5s and DUP's 7x10 in my Swist. I've also tried the 16-35-2E on 4s and the 7x 10's as well as the HJK 6.8x 10.5's in my Nemesis. Unfortunately HJK no longer list the props

Mine's ready, waiting on bank to complete transfer and it can be shipped, hopefully won't take too long as I'm really happy with how it looks and looking forward to getting this in the air
