I've had to restart the print a couple of times due to tuning issues with the thinner walls. My JGAurora hasn't printed thinner than 0,4 mm walls successfully before, but I think I got it to work now.

Wish I had more big printers.

Doing my best to get it to look right. Seems like every He-162 has a different nacelle, even the ones that are supposed to be the same model. It also isn't smooth on the full size.

I looks very good from here...Most people will never notice any small variation in the design

how much lighter will be if you print it with 0,3mm?

It varies from part to part because of the amount of top and bottom layers. The part I'm printing now is calculated to weigh 348 g with 0,4 mm walls and 273 with 0,3 mm walls. In the end it will add up to a lot. You can check how much it saves by slicing the two settings.

Three of my robots are now printing parts for this plane. I want to print the nacelle first so that I can run thrust tests with it.

That's Brilliant ! Thank you...
Going to try and print the rascal at 20" Span (1:15 ?) which is right size for a 30mm edf unit inlet ( I'll redo the inlet a 'little bit')
Thinking of printing it as an eggshell similar to your C130 micro . 30 mm gives 180 ~ 200 gm thrusts.. in My testings.
I think it may be simple (?) to add internal structures of traditional method... worth a try at least.

The parts for this one are pretty big. I designed the inside of the fuselage sections in front of the wing with a large inside space. There's plenty of room for activities in there.

I finished designing the nacelle internals today. The only things left now are the canopy frame and hinge, the nose gear and the tail. The tail surfaces are just about done, but I might need to change something when I connect it to the fuselage. Such a big tail will need a very secure connection. The lightest way to do it is to glue the parts together back there so I think if the tail is to be made removeable I'll have to do it by splitting the fuselage in front of the h-stab.

Awesome work Lynx! shes going to be another great flyer. I bet the off-line thrust will not be an issue and most of the effects easily mixed out with a couple flight modes.

Did you use the same airfoil as the EL-39?

Yes. Eppler 205. The full size seems to have a fully symmetrical profile but I like the efficiency of a semi symmetrical profile if I can get away with the look.
