Super Brigadier for OZNoP 2018

I want to join the fun!

I plan on building a Super Brigadier - https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=342

I will be making it the original size, 57" wing span, electric powered and 3 channel RC.

Thanks,
Fred

Yes I did, thanks.

I like to take the PDF and paste into a CAD program and trace the outline of all the pieces. I will take a SWAG at whatever is missing.

I am in the middle of tracing now.

Thanks,
Fred

How did you cut out the parts? They look very crisp and sharp.

Thanks

I print the parts from my CAD drawing. I use a glue stick to attach the patterns to the wood.
I use a scroll saw to cut out the parts and then sand to the line.

More updates.

Though it is hard to tell, I finished the other fuselage side.

While the side was drying, I tried some experiments.

Since I was going to use 3/32" thick wood and have a thin kerf table saw blade, I thought I would use my table saw to cut slots
in the leading and trailing edges of the wing and stab. I think they came out pretty good.

I also used my table saw to cut the profiles for the leading and trailing edges.

AT this point, I think I want to install servos and control rods, so I need the fin and stabilizer.

For the elevator, I want to try using a control horn like used for flaps on control line stunt plane.
