Unless your strapping a brick to it it should fly GREAT! Have fun. If you have any questions I am sure that everyone here is willing to help.

damn!!!!! I had just finished glueing on the brick when I saw your reply. If I had only used a strap like you said it would be so much easier to remove.

Guys,
Taking my time on my Sukhio. No hurry with the winds whipping all the time. Need some help with the tape hinges. I have tried 2 different kind of packing tape - Scotch packing tape and Crystal Clear. Neither work worth a darn. What works well and where do I get it?
Thanks
Scott

Which one?

Hi all,

Having previous RC experience, I gave 3D a try with a Raptor. Nice plane, but not a 3D trainer. I have built, flown, repaired, flown, flown, repaired... it and I am getting better at it, but the plane is also getting heavier

Which one of the FancyFoams is a better 3D trainer? I don't like the looks of the Edge very much and tend more towards the Extra and SU, but then again it's form against function.

I also PM'd Mike regarding how many kits (just the airframe kit) can be packed in the smallest int'l post package.

Regards and happy x-mas to all.

Alex

Hi Scott, The tape you want to use is called 3M Blenderm it is 1 inch wide sticks like crazy and is very flexable and light. The tape is available from airdyn.com and aerocompositedesign.com and probably medical supply houses for it is an after surgery item. I've been using it exclusively on the last three airplanes with awsome results been flying in below freezing temps with no ill effect what so ever. Before you apply the tape a quick wipe with a damp isopropal alcohol towel to remove any residue.Good Luck Yogi

Alex J- I would go with the extra...Ive had 3 and i've loved all of them-They are forgiving and easy to repair-Mike is very helpful-I think the Bip's are a little harder to repair and are a bit more fragile-You can see a few vids of the extra at www.fancyfoam.com-You can see mine at NEAT-There are a few crashes in that Vid.
good luck
thanks Sammy
