High Lift Coefficient

I had one of the original Mibo Swifts back in the 90's. Though the construction wasn't as advanced as this one, I thought it was pretty good for the time. I do remember that it required real strong lift to fly well.

Yes, the old had RG airfoil. The new one is a total remake from nose to tail, the wings have now modified HN airfoils.

Today on the list ... Stress Test comparison with a 13kg Car battery

You can see, that the use of a stable F3B spar pays off

Today I did the weight measurements ... see the attachments

Wing around 550g ... Spread tow option is around 100g lighter.

And some news from Mibo:

-There will also be an EDF variant ... (additional cover for EDF door, additional rib EDF holder)

-You can choose between different sets for the linkages (IDS / classic, pull-pull / carbon rod, ....) In model set not included!

I have seen the model firsthand and what was interesting is that the wings were around 200 grams lighter but stiffer than my full strength 2.5 meter X-models swift. For US I think this will be a lighter, stonger, better flying swift. For example my elevator was close to 200 grams and the Mibo was 85 grams.

Today on to do list: fuselage reinforcements . Because I fly only slope, and sometimes the landings are not so pretty , I've made a Depron rib for the fuselage out of 6mm Depron, 200 Karbon rowing and 35g Glass
