what is the current FPV VTx/VRx for long range planes?

I have to put this thread hear, not in FPV equipment:

Hi, I'm looking to buy a VTx/RTx for my FX-61 in order to get long range FPV.
What are the options on these days? I look for Lawmate, but I don't know if it is the best options. It was 2 years since my plane was build and I'm not sure what the options are today.

I'm thinking on these items:
https://www.readymaderc.com/products...r-intl-version
https://www.readymaderc.com/products...-comtech-tuner
https://www.readymaderc.com/products...m-antenna-rhcp
https://www.readymaderc.com/products...r-antenna-rhcp

how far will I get with them?

Thank!

none of your links work

the Fox800 vtx were the go-to vtx 5 years ago for this.

your range will depend mostly on your antennas, not on vTx choice. Range could be well under 1km with bad antennas or 150km with the right combo of antennas

FOX 800 is still the go-to long range VTX, and the rest depends on your choice of
VRX, VRX antennas, having the right airframe,LRS, proper gear installation, planning, and
building lots of experience. No combination of gear will magically give you 100km range
on your first try. 99% of FPV pilots who have long range equipment still never fly more than
10-20km out.

Officially, long range does not exist

Thank! I fix the links.
I was flying 5-10 Km with my skywalker. I have a drgonlink and Chinese 1.2GHz Vtx and Vrx.
Now I have an Fx-61 and want to go 20/30 km. But if I have to buy some equipment it would be nice to buy equipment that allows me to go far in the future.

is FOX800 this?

what do you think about my links?

or maybe less power Vtx but more antenna gain:

https://www.readymaderc.com/products...c-antenna-rhcp

I think that 50km is the longest distance that I want to reach...

Everyone needs to watch Bruce's (rcmodelreviews) new vid on rf power/gain

Ok, that's totally true. It will be better a 1.2GHz and 800mW on my mid-size flying wing than a big 2.5W transmitter.
So the question now is what pair of antenna do you suggest for 20-50 Km? Peperbox, biquad, helical on the VRx and what about on the VTx? A dragolink dipole? a "Vee"a Cloverleaf ?

Thank

you will get many opinions. im partial to pagodas and helical.

The 5.8G 600mw transmitter plus high gain antenna can exceed 20km. If using a 1w transmitter, it can exceed 30km
This video shows a 1w transmitter with a receive antenna gain of 14dB for long distance flight

According to the accumulated experience, the fpv image transmission distance is no longer a problem. Whether it is 1.2G or 5.8G transmission distance can meet the requirements, but the 5.8G system has smaller devices and antennas

furthest I have seen a 5.8G system go is about 38km, but with horribly unreliable image at that range using carefully tuned helical

furthest I have seen a 1280 system go is about 130km, with decent-enough quality image

there is a vast difference the long range performance of 5.8band vs the 1.3G band. larger waves just penetrate better and less affected by atmosphere and objects. Though I have been using 5.8G mostly for the last few years as the antennas have gotten much better (and I am not going long range much). If I want to go over 10km, I would always go to 1280mhz, it's just easier for doing it.

also have to get serious about your UHF RC radio antennas when going over 20km IIRC. and then both the video recevier and RC Tx antennas all have to be directional, carefully aimed and coordinated with your telemetry

FWIW FOX800 (measured 610mW) 1.3Ghz has been out over 160km with dipole and 15dB Yagi

Thank to all for your comments
Could someone point me out into a link to a FOX800, please?

what kind of anntena do I need to use on the plane if I use this on ground?:

Any/all 1.3Ghz VTXs with an 800mW rating, is a FOX800. It may be referred to
as a Phartom or whatever, but they're all the same VTX (other than the US versions which
are locked down to only 2 channels). Sometimes you'll see it with a large case which is
meant to act as a heat sink, and sometimes without. Again, same VTX inside, and we usually
use them without the larger case. One full side exposed to direct outside airflow is
all it needs to not burn up.

With a CP VRX antenna like that you'd probably use a Airscrew Ultra or Singularity (although
I still haven't seen the Singularity used at extreme ranges yet).
