Wade Joos A-10 collaborative build thread?

Ive started on mine a while back but being such a newb with alot of the building(retracts, build methods etc) I thought that if other people have started or are about to start could help with a build thread so everyone can get ideas and instructions for the kit.

Thoughts/ideas?

Here are some pix so far of my dodgy building

Looks good to me!

Ado,
Looks pretty good to me.
I don't see any dodgy building - what ever that is :-)
I checked out all the pictures on your site. They look pretty nice.
Probably shouldn't have put in the two pictures of your fuse cut in half. Now everyone is going to cut their fuse into pieces ;-)
Actually, there were only 2 that were cut in half and that was for overseas shipping reasons. It saved about $100 on shipping charges.

Keep up the good work.

I got one of those fuse which were cut in half. Of cours now is one complete fuse. Anyhow I like Ado's home page with A-10 pictures. Keep up the good work.

Cool I was going to ask about the cut fuse. So the domestic models are one piece then.
Wade, have you shifted over the Mig 29 now or are you still making the A10 kit?

I have stopped the A-10 kits for a while. It will probably be 6-8 months before I get back to them.
I have to get out some Mig's that I have promised
I do have one kit (A-10) all boxed & ready to ship. The modeler that ordered it never got around to sending the money, so it is up for sale.
If anybody is interested, PM me & I'll give you the details.

Hi Ado.

I am still trying to start mine but have not had time to do anything yet. I know P.Richards has done some work on his. Maybe he will post some pics here.

esmeron.
Where are you in the build?
Did you get stuck or just busy?
I haven't heard from you for a while.
This guy is a great salesman. He told his wife it was a GWS A-10
Man he can sell anything
I hope she doesn't read this mail, or we may have an international incident.

Wade,
I just joind two halves of fuses and havn't touched it for a while and that was already a coulple of weeks ago. Too many things to do, especially this time of the year. But I will get back to you with tons and tons of questions.
BTW, I got two Midi fans but couldn't decide the motor yet.

P.S. My wife got really upset when she found out the price of GWS A-10 (alleged ) on the web.

Ado,

When you put the wings together, dry fit the landing gear plates in the spars & push the spars in or out so that you get the straight cuts on the gear plates to be even with & parallel to the joint between the outer & inner wing panel. You could even glue them at this point, but I wouldnt you have enough to worry about getting the rest of the stuff all lined up.

I suppose that found out that the smaller spar had to be sanded down a bit so that it would slide in the outer wing correctly. Right?

Wade
and yes he was correct.. you had to sand some bits.
