Ok, rather build the fuselage over the plans at the start, I thought it might be better to assemble the fuselage sides and formers, and then place it OVER the plan.

I started by attaching formers F4 & F5 to one of the fuselage sides F1/F2. Used a small 90 degree triangle to make sure F4 & F5 were perpendicular.

Then I attached the other side F1/F2 to assembly. This was placed over he F6/F3/F7 assembly (bottom of the fuselage).

The rear fuselage sides were pinned in place and glued. Once that was done, I held the top of the fuselage to what seemed right, and glued the rear 1/8" dia. dowel.

And just for fun: Here is the fuselage to my Balsa-USA 1/3 scale Nieuport 28, with my Eugley Stick fuselage in the foreground.

NOTE: Manzano Laser Works was nice enough to make me a plywood F10 firewall. THANKS!!

Moving along, I have decided to do more of a DNU tail that the Eugley tail. In other words, more slab, less stick.

Here is the rudder/fin. Still not sure if I will do a functional rudder.

OK. Not such thing as too much balsa.

OK, let's talk about engines. I have a few choices.

What arrived today is an .049 with throttle control (of a sort) from Ex Model Engines. This is my 'lead candidate'.

Next option is a Norvel-ish engine that I got around 10 years ago. It runs, sounds good. But has no throttle control. Even if I don't put this on first, it will see time on my Eugley Stick at some point.

This engine is currently on my Electra (Gentle Lady).

Last but not least is my Cox Cobra free flight helicopter. There's the .049 on top. I have thought about removing the engine, but I can't quite make myself do it. Not really an option. (Unless I change my mind.)

Here you go Craw you can add a RC carb to your Norvel
Looks like you have a Big Mig version the Norvel will provide
some good flying for the plane. They ship from the US and it
happens fast.

Hey Crawf56,
You and I may have something in common! We both have a Norvel .061, but don't want to the existing intake!

I fly CL...I picked up a carb'd BigMig. Care to swap carb for Venturi?
