Interesting, sure looks the part - very scale looking outline and color/markings.
Detail on the engine/prop/spinner and LG is noteworthy!

Appears the GEAR DOWN also mixes in FLAPS DOWN on the lower wing - very cool.

Vid seems to exhibit some type of stabilization, but it's not mentioned in the manual...

IMHO, would buy in a second if this was a HH UMX on 2S BL with SAFE, AS3X, etc.

Will keep on my watchlist, thanks for posting!

indeed, first micro with retracts, this little guy is a game changer. hope to see a brushless one, will ditch HH for rage rc in a heart beat if they keep doing micros with great scale and retracts+flaps, brushless is a big plus.

Saw this @my LHS earlier this morning. About $140+Tax. Maybe I should consider this before it’s discontinued. Twin Side-By-Side Brushed-Motor’s, driving a single output gear/shaft. Retracts/Flaps actuate simultaneously. It’s AWESOME!!!!! Walter & Olive-Ann Beech would’ve been proud.

Hi all
well i bought one! After seening it in the back of model airplane news or electric flight (dont remember which). Thought at first it was a shot of a real one in the ad. Then i started searching for it on the web and found that it really did have flaps and retracts...wow....but it was not instock anywhere...yet. Then i found that a place called rc hobby explosion had them in stock for 129.99 and free shipping. Here are some pics and my thoughts about it.

Likes
way more detail than most of the micros i have had
The retracts and flaps really do work and more than once..lol
It is very light (havent had it on a scale to find out how light)

Dislikes
a few places where parts didnt line up and one wheel rubs the landing gear a bit
Not really fond of the transmittier and how short the sticks are

After watching the video i thought it might be a bit under powered so for my first flight i decided to fly it at our club field where there was some tall grass and have it hand launched.

i have only one flight on it sofar and it does fly pretty well took a few clicks of up and right for level flight. i didnt deploy the landing gear and flaps during the flight. Flew for 3 or 4 min and landed it in the tall grass.
This is not for beginners and does not have any stabilization helping it...but man it sure does look cool in the air

sorry didnt get any inflight pics of it
Cheers

If it flies, I can crash it.

Very cool. Looks highly modifiable. Ordered one. Looks about the same size as the UMX Waco, and that's 2S, and I can fly that in a basketball court. So I'll fly this a bit in stock trim and then see about converting to a Spektrum brick... Though I'm thinking I could probably use an 070x sized brushless from my micro quad parts box, with a ESC and PWM converter to make it 1S brushless with the existing radio gear.

Parkguy; Thanks for all the pictures. Are those weights on the motors ? I've never seen servos like those before.

Hi Peppersam
Thats the holder for the motors and or propshaft (if i understand what your referring to). Its made of about 7 or 8 pieces of laser cut light ply all sandwich together

Not much of a battery for having flaps and retracts.

The plane will almost certainly carry a larger battery. I don't think I own a micro that I don't fly with a larger than recommended battery.

Turns out my LHS has one in stock, so I can go grab it tomorrow and see how modifiable it is...

I like the gear reduction for the retracts. Nice idea!

yeh fellas I love the look of this, if only it were BNF spektrum or Frsky.
I don't want to many Tx's and the Tx looks a bit cheapish
My LHS has them to, I dare not look at one because even though I
have said the above, if I see it, I will weaken!
