Hi
Now the servo's are much closer to the hingline, how do you solved it with the arm lengths ? I understand that the shortest one are stil to long? I'm planning going to use KST 08 plus servo's for ailerons and KST 10 mini for flaps. Please some pictures if possible Best regards: Adrie |

Use longer servo arms than usually as the hinge line is quite thick. I have second longest servo arms in flap servos, giving 65-70 deg movement. It is important have enough flap movement as in 30-45 deflection the the flaps increase lift dramatically, you want to get past that point. I have same wing servo kit, it works perfectly. Personally I would not even think of using small flap servos in this one. |

Big Flap Explorer 3.8 V has excellent handling. I really like the aileron response. It also feels like aileron drag has been reduced.
A few days ago when practising I made 9.1m start with BF - my personal best so far |

Hi.
I received today from servorahmen shorter pushrods for the Explorer BF. I hope that these are the correct one.. |

Hello,
I am just about to start a build on an Explorer 4.0m BF. I am planning on using the MKS 6110 HV serovs for my build (rudder, elevator, ailerons and possibly the flaps), but am uncertain if these are the best choice for the flaps. I am considering the MKS 6130HV, but not sure if they are needed. It looks like the build weight for the 4.0m BF is about 40 oz to 45 oz. I am hoping to keep mine in this range also. I have seen some notes and comments suggesting it would be better to use the smaller servo (6110HV) and strip the gears rather than using a more powerful servo (6130HV) and damaging the airframe should the flaps encounter too much restistance or obstructions. It is always easy to replace the servo, but more challenging to repair the airframe in these situations. I would appreciate any thoughts and suggestions from those that have been flying the BF. Many thanks ! Bob |

Motor is going to be the Schambeck Powerline 1025 Turbo with a 16x8 prop or the Neu 1102/3Y with the P22 gearbox and a 15x8 prop...haven't decided which may work better. I have 3s 850mAh 70c and 3s 1000 mAh 70c packs for the power system (and radio if the BEC is used). Again, I am uncertain of which battery I will use, which depends on the power system used and also making sure to get the balance point at the recommended 131mm unballasted. |
